"For almost two decades now, I have asked Bob and Rob Kern to provide me with the best international hunts on planet earth. They have always came through and provided me with some of the most exciting adventures that I have had in my career."
-Jim Shockey

“During the past 5 years the Hunting Consortium has been the most invaluable resource a hunter could ask for. I have averaged over 150 hunting days in that time and many, if not most of those days were booked through The Hunting Consortium. Their knowledge and experience is unmatched in the hunting industry. I have always been pleased with the quality of the outfitters and the professional hunter’s and guides that Hunting Consortium have booked for me. I’ve hunted in Africa over a dozen times on hunts booked by the Hunting Consortium and every time I felt like I was hunting the premier area with one of the best outfitters and knowledgeable, helpful professional hunters. I’ve taken 158 different animals from Africa and I couldn’t have accomplished that without the Hunting Consortium.”
-Rick Warren

“Nobody can appreciate the effort Bob Kern and his staff at the Hunting Consortium make to satisfy their clients’ requirements better than me - they have arranged more than 100 hunts for me over the span of 30 years! Bob is the leading expert and explorer in China and Russia and has helped me travel to the most remote places in the world in the search for the rarest of the rare big game trophies. This company has made very difficult travel arrangements seem easy - they have always exceeded my expectations. Many of the finest trophies in my collection are due to the hard work of Bob and his professional team. This is the best hunting travel company in the world!”
-Hector Cuellar

“Best in the business! I have entrusted more than 20 major hunts on 6 continents to Bob and his team at the Hunting Consortium and they have never failed me. Their knowledge and experience has been a great help to me. I can rely on them to know the best operator and the best area for every hunt I want to do and they handle the visas, gun permits, air tickets, hotels, and every other detail - it is a one-stop shop for me, allowing me to focus on my medical practice while Bob and his staff “make it happen” for my hunting trips around the world. They do EVERYTHING, and they do it really well!”

Uganda

Winston Churchill called Uganda a “fairy tale”, because of its rugged mountains and beautiful lakes, rivers and savannahs. Home to enormous wildlife resources, Uganda was one of the most popular hunting destinations when hunting was closed three decades ago.

Much has happened since then, both bad and good, in Uganda. From 1971 until 1979 Idi Amin’s reign of terror made the country unsafe for travelers. An estimated 300,000 people fell victim to his regime. Idi Amin was finally chased into exile in 1979. Slowly conditions for wildlife have improved and today Uganda is once again hunter’s paradise. Hunting in Uganda was re-opened in 1994 and many areas have been reopened since.

Thankfully, most of Uganda’s species have recovered well from the dark days of the late 1970s and the progressive government understands that big game hunting in Uganda can provide an important source of revenue for conservation and the local economy. Many species of interest to big game hunters are found in Uganda, including, Uganda kob, Nile buffalo, Lelwel hartebeest, East African sitatunga, East African eland, Uganda Defassa waterbuck (the largest of all waterbucks), and Uganda is the only place where the coveted Sesse Island sitatunga may be hunted.

Uganda has also long been a popular destination for anglers who want to fish the huge Nile perch, which can exceed 400 pounds! Soon we hope it will again take its place with Tanzania and Zambia as a favorite hunting destination.

In Uganda The Hunting Consortium Ltd, represents two of the most experienced operators in the country, with exclusive hunting concessions in the Kabowya Wildlife Reserve, Lake Mburo, Katonga river and in the Karamjo country north of Mt. Elgon, as well as in the Sesse Islands. Additionally, our operators are developing hunting areas in East Madi, above Murchison Falls, and in other well-know hunting areas in cooperation with other lease holders and operators. Our hunting program in Uganda is expanding every year.
We also offer sightseeing trips to view wild chimpanzees in the Budongo Forest, fishing trips to Lake Albert and the Nile River, and gorilla watching excursions in the “Mountains of the Moon” National Park.
