England
While England is not among the most famous hunting countries of Europe, it certainly is one of the most enjoyable to visit. It’s quaint charm and cultural heritage are unique in the world. Hunting in England is primarily confined to private estates. Excellent red stags may be found from Devon to the Midlands, as well as superior roe deer in the South Downs. Fallow deer are widely available as are rare, introduced species such as Pere’ David’s deer, Chinese water deer, Manchurian Sika deer and Reeve’s muntjac, all imported from China. From India have come hog deer and sambar, chital (Axis deer) and from Japan the Japanese Sika deer.
The Hunting Consortium offers a variety of hunting opportunities on a number of the finest estates in England. All big game species, both native and introduced, are encompassed in our hunt portfolio. Prices vary from estate to estate and are usually based on the quality of the trophy.
Our staff routinely arranges British Firearm Certificates (temporary import permit) or rifle hire, if preferred, and pick-up and delivery from either Heathrow or Gatwick airports, as well as all accommodations and corollary sightseeing programs. Accommodation are had in simple bed and breakfast country inns, or in a variety of hotels in virtually every service class, including private castles. We will gladly match hunting programs and accommodations to the wishes and tastes of the individual client.
