Russian Moose
Introduction to Russian Moose Hunting:
The Hunting Consortium has been working in Russia since 1985. During that time, they have researched, scouted, opened and developed the best moose hunting areas in that country. The experience gained in the last three decades of working there has been instrumental in helping their clients take great trophies. The largest moose in the world come from our hunting areas in Russia! This is not rhetoric, our continuing success rate of 100% and incredible trophy quality reflect it.

Hunting Moose on Kamchatka:
Several varieties of moose are found within the territories of the Russian Federation. By far the largest is the Chukotka, or East Siberian Moose which inhabits the far eastern provinces of Chukotka and the central portion of the Kamchatka Peninsula. This subspecies compares favorably in size to the moose of Alaska and numerous trophies with spreads of 70 inches and larger have been taken recently. The largest heads have come from the Penzina River Valley and the central region of the Kamchatka Peninsula, both of which have the mildest climates and best forage in the region. Success rates have been over 90% during the past ten seasons and some hunters have chosen to take more than one moose. It is normally possible to arrange two licenses in most areas. It is realistic to expect a trophy in excess of 60 inches; our average trophy is about. 63 inches. The largest moose taken ANYWHERE in recorded history (756 ⅛”), was taken by one of our clients during the 2017 hunting season in Russia. This is not only #1 SCI World Record Chukotka Moose but it also bests the #1 SCI Alaska-Yukon world record moose by over 30 inches and the previous world record Chukotka moose by over 100 inches! Please read the article published in SportsAfield in September 2018, here.
The Hunting Consortium has selected what are the finest trophy-producing areas available. These areas encompass thousands of square miles. Each season we perform pre-season scouting. License quotas are established based on current population data. No outfitter in Russia takes as much time or spends as much effort to ensure that their clients are hunting in the best locations possible. We only take a limited number of moose hunters to Kamchatka per year to ensure the hunting pressure remains low and the trophy quality remains high. Our hunts are designed for only 2 hunters in camp at a time.
Camps:
We provide well-equipped, heated cabins with field beds, medical kits, satellite telephone and other conveniences. Travel to and from camp (often more than 50 miles from the nearest road) is accomplished by charter helicopter which is included in the price of the hunt.
The Hunting Consortium sends a member of their staff with EVERY group. As with all their hunts in Russia, the hunt price includes the services of an experienced interpreter/escort, guide fees, firearm permit, hunting license, and the trophy fee for one moose. Our full-service travel department arranges all international and domestic flights, Russian visa and firearm permit, as well as any desired sightseeing or other activities requested.
